happy (belated) father's day...

i have to confess myself guilty... i kind of forgot father's day... or at least i thought it's not important to chris (since anniversaries, birthdays, valentines days, etc... don't mean much to him)

but then on the day i felt very very bad as chris seemed to be quite disappointed about the lack of father's day festivities and surprises (which i would be good at...).

i know this wont make up for it. but it's a little something a little bit late...

happy father's day!!! thank you for being such a wonderful papi! seeing how much you love pea and being a daddy fills my heart with so much love.

he adores you and i already know that he will always run to you especially when mami says no to something! also i think on 9 out of 10 you will give in... :) i'm so happy for pea to have you as his father  as i know you want nothing but the very best for him.

i wouldn't want to be on this adventure with anyone else but you.

i love you! x

new pushchair friends

only 3 weeks to go and we're off to ibiza for a weeks vacation! although i usually start packing the night before i leave i decided to plan ahead this time...

the last time we flew pea wasn't able to sit properly on his own so we took the pram with us. this time we can take the pushchair which makes it a bit easier. since we have the bugaboo chameleon which separates in two pieces to fold, we wouldn't be allowed to take it to the entrance of the plane but would have to check it in. this is very unpractical as pea is not as easy to manage (only the thought of the duty free store with him on my arms gives me nightmares...) anymore. luckily we got an old pushchair from our friends which is very easy to fold and stays in one piece hence we can take it with us to the entrance of the plane and will also be able to collect it when disembarking in ibiza.

to fun it up a bit and also to entertain pea while in it (that's my hope anyways...) i made him some toys to hang. i love how they turned out!

happy 10 months

i can't believe it's already been 10 months! but then i can't even imagine anymore how life has been without our little pea.

he's got 8 teeth, is able to stand alone now, cruising along furniture and crawling in high speed. he climbs up EVERYTHING and would jump down head first if we weren't watching. he eats a lot of fruit and vegetables (he loves tomatoes!) that is not pureed anymore and likes to have his weggli (soft bread bun).

the weather was beautiful and very hot here so we spent the afternoon at nani's house where a little paddling pool was waiting for pea. he loved it and was exhausted afterwards.

two months until his first birthday! which means i am officially allowed to start organizing... chris thinks i'm crazy and we don't need a colour concept and stuff for his first birthday party. well, i know we do.

happy 10 months little water bug!

mission day nursery

i decided to start doing yoga in a studio again after realizing it's rather difficult to do it at home with pea... i found one close to home which has a nursery and seems to be perfect.

the first time i went i was quite nervous as it was the first time i left pea with strangers. they assured me that they will come and get me if there is any problem (the nursery is next door to the yoga room) so i went a bit heavy-hearted.

after the 90 minutes lesson i came back to the nursery to find pea soundly asleep... i was very happy and couldn't believe how easy it all went.

the second time i came back to find pea red-eyed on the nanny's arm... she told me that he wouldn't sit or play on his own for even a minute and that she had to carry him around all the time. not as good as the first time, but that must have just been the odd day i thought.

i was wrong.

the third time they had to get me after half an hour. the fourth time after 40 minutes. the fifth time after an hour.

each time i stayed with him in the nursery for the remaining time of the lesson and he played happily on his own and with the other children as long as he could see me when he checked...

although i would have wished it was as easy as on the first time i know we will get there and that it needs some training.

also interesting to see that he goes for the doll and pink buggy instead of the dinosaurs...

finally summer!

finally we got some warm weather and are able to sit outside again!

pea enjoys being in the garden and having his pre-bed time there. we bought a paddling pool and i can't wait for him to use it! also i still haven't given up on convincing chris to buy a hammock to spend the evenings in...

hello summer! i missed you...
